“Fin” Photoshoot #2

I chose this photo because I found the symmetry to be well executed. This is one of my more symbolic photos, so I am proud of the visual storytelling that I have achieved through the projector. I am also happy with how her shadow creates an outline behind her, separating her from the background, while her blouse helps her blend into the scene.​

This photo is, what I believe to be, one of my best ones. The contrast is strong and eye-catching, which creates visual interest. Additionally, the colour palette is interrupted by the spot of warm light –both creating an asymmetrical composition and two distinct focal points – against the jet-black background.​

This photo best captures the different skills I’ve learned throughout the year – the “ghost” images achieved through slow shutter speed; the editing to make the photo darker, etc. The composition is also successful with the three subjects having different proportions but still being united by their colours.​
