Don Juan on Trial poster concept

This poster was made for a local production of “Don Juan on Trial” by a theatre group that will remain nameless. I was asked personally to create this by my former acting instructor less than a week before it was supposed to go into print. I accepted because I felt proud that they had asked me (even on such short notice). I created this poster, taking inspiration from the previous ones, the costumes and roles, as well as the actors that would be playing the characters. The agreement was that they would put all the names, title, etc. themselves since they didn’t want any mistakes. I finished the poster five days in advance and sent it. I didn’t hear anything from them for weeks after that and it turns out they changed their mind last minute without telling me and decided to use a different one instead. Although it’s an unfortunate situation, I am quite happy with the illustration so obviously it’s going on the blog :D.
